Overview of the role To actively ensure that the teams carry out day to day activities of the warehouse functions, in line with agreed levels of performance, standard operating procedures and health safety legislation, whilst supporting with low level management duties and continuing to carry out operative duties when required to do so. Main Responsibilities Manage day to day team activities to ensure the smooth running of their area of responsibility. Support team members to ensure required levels of performance are achieved whilst liaising with management over remedial action when required. Ensure compliance to Work Instructions, Good Distribution Practice, Health & Safety, security and all SOP’s is being followed by all staff. Engage team members by conducting briefing sessions to ensure team members are aware of their KPIs and have harmonious and co-operative relations within area of responsibility and with all customers internal or external. Support the area Supervisor with managing holiday requests and post absence, return to work discussions. Work with multiple Team Leaders to ensure efficiency across the warehouse. Key Skills and Experience: The ability to assist Supervisor plan up to a week ahead operationally. Ability to assist all Team Leaders/supervisors undertake short-term projects. The ability and skills to work within a team environment to achieve business goals as well as recognise and appreciate contribution from all team members.
