About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Data Analyst. You will work closely with experienced data professionals while completing the Data Analyst Apprenticeship, a structured programme designed to shape you into a confident and skilled data specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, IT networking, and client-facing interactions.
Whilst the role is remote working you will be in daily contact with your line manager. As needed you will be required to attend at our Milton Keynes places of work from time to time and at least twice in any calendar month

Key Responsibilities
* Software Installation: Installing our bespoke reporting software, Octelas, on client servers.
* Configuration: Configuring the software using intuitive front-end tools and SQL to tailor it to client needs.
* Data Analysis: Writing SQL datasets and scripts to analyse data.
* Client Liaison: Communicating effectively with clients, including those in senior positions, to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
* Collaboration: Working alongside our team to deliver consultancy projects using Power BI, Excel, and other tools.
About You
Essential Skills:
* Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence in liaising with clients.
Desirable Skills and Interests:
* An interest in computers, IT networking, or data systems.
* Any experience with SQL or bookkeeping is a bonus, but not required—we’ll teach you!

* Use data systems securely to meet requirements and in line with organisational procedures and legislation including principles of Privacy by Design
* implement the stages of the data analysis lifecycle
* apply principles of data classification within data analysis activity
* analyse data sets taking account of different data structures and database designs
* assess the impact on user experience and domain context on data analysis activity
* identify and escalate quality risks in data analysis with suggested mitigation or resolutions as appropriate
* undertake customer requirements analysis and implement findings in data analytics planning and outputs
* identify data sources and the risks and challenges to combination within data analysis activity
* apply organizational architecture requirements to data analysis activities
* apply statistical methodologies to data analysis tasks
* apply predictive analytics in the collation and use of data
* collaborate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders using appropriate styles and behaviours to suit the audience
* use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data
* collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and convert into infographics, reports, tables, dashboards and graphs
* select and apply the most appropriate data tools to achieve the optimum outcome

* You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT Apprenticeship team to increase your skills
* Your training will include gaining a Level 4 Data qualification
