We are seeking to fill the role of Band 5 - Management Accountant within our Finance Department at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The role requires an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a Management Accountant, based at the Watford site, working core weekday hours only, with some flexibility to work from home.

Main duties of the job
Working as part of the Management Accounts Team to provide a management accounting service to the organisation.
Preparing financial information and advice to enable the Trust to operate effectively.
Ensuring that the information provided is accurate, timely, pertinent and as prescribed by NHS and accounting standards.
Job responsibilities
To support the divisional financial management team in providing a high-quality service for all aspects relating to management accounting.
To assist budget holders with various aspects that enable them to maintain & remain within their allocated financial envelope.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications
* Part-qualified or studying towards professional qualifications or equivalent work-based experience.
* Education to degree level or equivalent work-based experience.
* Experience in Management Accounting/Finance Function equivalent to that expected of Professional Postgraduate Diploma Level.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Qualified/demonstrable experience to European Computer Driving Licence level.
Knowledge
* Knowledge and awareness of accounting policies and procedures.
* Specialist knowledge of the NHS financial regime.
Experience
* Experience of using a finance computer system.
* Experience of providing costing information in the support of business cases.
* Experience in public sector organisation.
* Experience of using the Integra General Ledger system.
