Job Description: IT Project Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver key technology projects. The role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget, while meeting the business objectives. The IT Project Manager will coordinate team members, third-party contractors, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution:
o Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
o Develop comprehensive project plans and track project milestones.
2. Team Leadership & Coordination:
o Manage cross-functional teams, assign tasks, and ensure accountability.
o Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments.
3. Risk & Issue Management:
o Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
o Resolve issues effectively to minimize project impact.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders and clients.
o Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and changes.
5. Budget Management:
o Monitor project expenses to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
o Prepare financial reports for stakeholders.
6. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
o Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* (Optional) Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant discipline.
Certifications (Preferred):
* Project Management Professional (PMP)
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
* ITIL Certification
Experience:
* 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, including software development, system implementation, or IT infrastructure projects.
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
* Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Basic understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and infrastructure concepts.
