The post holder will be responsible for owning and managing global inventory levels, working cross functionally and collaboratively with the wider Planning function and Finance teams to analyse and assess inventory, drive down residual stocks and maintain a healthy inventory level, plus supporting with maintaining planning data within ERP systems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to capably perform each of the following essential functions:
* Develop inventory policy review process. Lead and report on inventory policy reviews.
* Collate inventory data from global ERP systems and generate monthly IQR reports, detailing inventory health for each site.
* Maintain ‘One Pager’ KPI report, detailing progress in global inventory reduction for presentation with SLT.
* Compile monthly global inventory deck and distribute to Planning leads for local SIOP presentations.
* Report changes to inventory policies and their impact on inventory value.
* Collate, track and report on scrapping requirements and progress.
* Own IQR Amber inventory report and ensure timely population by local site leads.
* Support Supply Planning team in maintaining planning data within ERP system and rough cut capacity information.
* Effectively challenge opinions based on knowledge & experience, which will involve communicating an alternative solution to the issue being discussed.
* Support in analysis of reasons for late customer deliveries with respective local stakeholders and implement preventative actions.
* Support maintenance of planning data withing ERP systems.
* Support in maintenance of routings and structures.
* Support with NPD or strategical project initiatives.
* Develop skills in, and usage of ERP systems and Excel.
* Support in the improvement of planning data fields and implementation into manufacturing areas.
* Report on progress of work, problems encountered, and solutions implemented.
* Work flexibly to ensure each department/section works efficiently.
* Co-ordinate workload and support the objectives set by the Line Manager to ensure that operational objectives of the department are met and delivered within agreed timescales.
* Provide training support to other personnel within the company as required
* Identify training needs and raise these with your line manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* A minimum of three-year(s) experience in Supply Chain Planning.
* Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in IFS and SAP ERP.
* Experience of working within a manufacturing business.
* Experience working within a mature SIOP culture.
* System orientated.
* Analytical with problem-solving abilities.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex IT issues to non-IT stakeholders.
* Ability to bring cross-functional teams together to solve complex problems.
* Sense of ownership and pride in own/teams’ performance and its impact on company’s success.
