A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an organised and pro-active individual to join our Emergency Division as the Divisional PA to the Senior Leadership Team.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional who will play a key role in delivering high-quality, professional, and adaptable support to the Divisional Leadership Team. This role involves providing a comprehensive range of administrative and business support services to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the division.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to be highly organized and able to manage their own workload effectively to meet deadlines.
They must be a confident communicator, capable of organizing meetings, taking notes/minutes, preparing meeting papers, and handling the ordering and maintenance of equipment on behalf of the leadership team.
Excellent computer skills and a keen eye for detail are essential, with daily use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
The post holder should be comfortable with frequent interruptions and able to quickly adapt and switch between tasks as needed.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and managing the diaries of the Divisional Leadership Team, using their initiative and judgment to prioritize and adjust the work schedule based on shifting priorities.
Additionally, the role involves providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support for meetings, including preparing agendas, transcribing formal minutes, and following up on actions. The Personal Assistant will also support the smooth running of the office, including managing annual leave, appraisals, and absence management.
As the first point of contact for a wide range of internal and external queries, the post holder will ensure all are handled professionally.
This is a full-time position ( hours per week), Monday to Friday. The post is based at the Watford General site and requires the post holder to be onsite during working hours.

Education and qualifications
Essential
1. Educated to GCSE Level - minimum of 5 (including Maths and English).
2. Proven Computer Literacy.
3. RSA Typing Level 3 or equivalent.
Desirable
4. Demonstrates a working knowledge and understanding of working with Senior Leaders.
5. Awareness of wider NHS context.
6. Educated at GCE Level or equivalent.
7. Secretarial qualification, NVQ or equivalent.
Knowledge
Essential
8. Highly computer literate and have good working knowledge of Window Packages including Word and Excel.
9. Highly developed organisational, planning, motivational and delivery skills; being approachable and knowledgeable.
10. Ability to plan, organise several activities.
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
12. Proven at producing documentation with high standards of written and verbal communication.
