Operations Manager at Smart Artistry Ltd | Driving Operational Excellence and Strategic Growth in the Beauty Industry
Company Overview: We are a private limited company offering premium beauty services, including makeup and hair styling consultations, located in the SOHO area of London. As part of our expansion and to enhance the operational efficiency of our studio, we are seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our team. Given the specialized skills required for this position, we recognize that most of our target candidates may require visa sponsorship. Therefore, we are in the process of applying for a Sponsor Licence to enable us to hire individuals who meet the unique requirements of the role and attract top talent who can establish a long-term working relationship with the company.
Responsibilities:
* Client Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential clients, with a particular focus on the Asian client base.
* Team Management: Supervise and lead the studio team, including senior makeup artists and junior staff, ensuring high customer satisfaction and strict adherence to health and safety standards. Provide regular technical training and support skill enhancement for junior makeup artists to strengthen the overall team capability. Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide professional feedback and recommendations to team members to foster individual and team development.
* Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the studio’s client base. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of in-house makeup products. Oversee the promotion of studio services on social media platforms to attract new clients. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required:
* Deep Understanding of Asian Beauty Aesthetics: Knowledge of Asian beauty trends, techniques, and products.
* Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, especially those from Asian/Chinese backgrounds.
* Strong Leadership and Management Skills: Capable of effectively leading and managing a team of makeup artists, including scheduling work, and providing makeup technique training, performance evaluations, and feedback.
* Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: The role requires the candidate to demonstrate high professionalism and affability in customer service. Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly bilingual abilities in Chinese and English, will be highly advantageous.
* Extensive Makeup Experience: Rich experience in catering to diverse client needs and occasions, including but not limited to wedding makeup, film set makeup, etc.
* AOFM Certification (Preferred): Professional certification from the Academy of Freelance Makeup (AOFM) will be considered an asset, indicating a high level of professional skill.
Current Vacancy and Planned CoS Allocation: The position of Studio Manager is currently vacant. We plan to assign 1 Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for this role.
