ILS Engineer – We're looking for an ILS Engineer with experience in delivering optimised support solutions to join a Leading Technology partner delivering in the UK MOD. You'll be based out of a site near Farnborough and will need to be on site 2-3 days per week.
The Role:
As an ILS Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on the status of the ILS programme. You'll work closely with both the ILS and engineering teams, as well as interfacing directly with the customer. Your role will involve defining and executing a full ILS programme of work, including Supportability Analysis, Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) analysis, and Spares Ranging and Scaling. You will also manage the delivery of technical documentation in line with Army Equipment Support Publication (AESP) standards and support the construction and maintenance of a Logistics Information Repository (LIR).
The Person:
We're looking for someone with strong experience in ILS engineering, ideally within UK MOD programmes (although this is not essential and open to experience from other environments.) You should have knowledge of Def Stan 00-600, the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF), and experience working within Agile delivery approaches (including SAFe). Skills in Configuration Management, Obsolescence Management, and software support are highly desirable.
A key part of this role is defining support solutions, influencing system design through Supportability Analysis, and ensuring effective risk management. You'll need excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and delivery-focused environment.
This role requires a willingness to be submitted for DV level clearance (this requires you to be UK born) but you will be able to start with SC. There's an expectation of on-site work in Farnborough 2-3 days per week and with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK as required. Salary circa £60-80k + benefits.
