Hourly Lifestyle / Care assistant to a young disabled adult at home

We have an amazing opportunity for you to become a Personal Assistant to a young man based in Oxford. Join his team of PAs to assist him with personal care and daily living!
Location –Witney, Oxford (OX29)
Hours –Various Hourly shifts available will be discussed during the interview stage (Days & Waking Nights)
Start Date – ASAP
Pay & Benefits:
Pay -£17 per hour
Holidays: 5.6 weeks (pro rata)
Nest Pension Scheme
Care Experience is not essential!
Bespoke training on the client’s particular requirements will be provided
On-call support from our client coordinator
About our Client
Initially, our client can come across as shy, however, the warmth of his personality will grow and shine over time. The client has an amazing sense of humour and is looking for someone who likes a laugh and can encourage him to live his best life!
At times the client may need some encouragement to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. Due to his condition, he likes to forward plan events, for example, going to watch a rugby game or going to a music gig. He has a diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is a full-time powered wheelchair user.
About the Job
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody else’s life. You will assist our client in all aspects of daily life; therefore, being able to listen and follow instructions from the client is essential. Our client is looking for the support of like-minded individuals to assist him with:
1. Personal Care
2. Health Care
3. Social Support
4. Daily Living
5. Housekeeping / Domestic duties
6. Commuting – Our client has a large long wheelbase-adapted vehicle that you will be required to drive.
You will need
1. A full clean UK driving licence (Essential)
2. Confident in your driving ability
3. To be physically fit, calm, patient, and caring
4. Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
5. Willing to attend medical appointments as and when required
6. A good sense of humour
7. A mature and responsible attitude
8. Good communication skills
9. Fluency in English
10. To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways
11. To be a non-smoker
