Job Description Inspector Location: Yeovil Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 3:30pm & Fridays 7:00am to 12:00pm Pay: £34,00.00 About Us: We specialise in precision engineering services across the aerospace, defence, and commercial sectors, offering a high level of expertise and capability. This Role Will Include: Maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies. Performing First Offs, In-Process, Goods Inwards, and Final Inspections according to customer drawings and specifications. Preparing and executing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to AS9102 standards. Supporting Quality Assurance systems to ensure adherence to AS9100 and relevant company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Contributing to Red Table/Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities. Engaging in the Kaizen process to continuously improve business practices. Ensuring the necessary training and skills are in place to comply with Quality Management System (QMS) regulations. Skills and Experience Required: Experience with FAIR creation and completion to AS9102. Indentured (preferred). Proficiency in using/programming measurement equipment such as CMMs, Faro Arms, etc. (mandatory). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with a good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Capability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Collaborative and able to work both as part of a team and independently when required. Summary of Functions: Ensure all products meet customer drawings and specifications. Conduct inspections using various measurement devices, including handheld equipment (micrometers and verniers) and advanced tools such as CMMs, Faro Arms, Hommel, and Keyence. Complete First Article Reports to AS9102 standards and assess SPC/Capability data to take appropriate action.
