Job Title: Associate – Transport & Asset Finance (Rail Focus)
Job Overview:
The Associate will join the Transport & Asset Finance team, primarily focusing on rail/rolling stock finance. This role involves advising clients on various aspects of asset financing, managing transactions, and contributing to business development in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:Client Advisory and Transaction Management:
* Advise clients on all aspects of asset financing, with a primary focus on the rail sector and some exposure to the aviation sector.
* Run smaller transactions independently and collaborate on larger transactions.
* Identify and manage key legal and commercial issues and risks.
* Provide supervision and guidance to junior team members.
Documentation and Legal Work:
* Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation.
* Conduct legal research to support transactions and provide insights.
Client Management and Business Development:
* Manage client relationships and ensure smooth project delivery.
* Support business development initiatives, including pitch and panel presentations.
* Participate in client relationship management and build a strong network.
Skills and Experience Required:Essential Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years PQE (Post-Qualified Experience).
* Proven experience in asset finance transactions.
* Strong legal execution, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage clients and projects effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ethical and professional approach.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in the rail sector (preferred).
* Aviation sector or general banking finance experience.
* Familiarity with cross-border transactions.
* Commercial focus with intellectual curiosity.
