Transport Legal Compliance Manager
Right now we are looking for a Legal Compliance Manager to join the Transport Team at our new Fulfilment Centre in Stafford.
Salary: £45,000
The role:
The Compliance Manager will be named person on Operator Licence holder for the Transport Operations at our Pets At Home Stafford Fulfilment Centre and any other Pets At Home site with vehicles based at SFC.
The specific aspects of the Licence Undertakings the job holder will be directly responsible for are, working with maintenance providers to manage the fleet to ensure robust management of the defect and Service/MOT, and Drivers Hours rules and regulations are managed and maintained all in line with Operator License requirements.
You are also responsible for ensuring that the DCPC training is maintained, and overall responsibility of all Transport related training, policies and documentation for new and existing colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure vehicle maintenance standards are met and in line with Operator license requirements, responsibility for management of the Defect procedure and Service/MOT process.
2. Ensure that all driver infringement processes are undertaken as per the O licence undertakings.
3. Prepare for all audit requirements in respect of audits by both internal and external bodies.
4. Keep abreast of best practices and any legislative changes in respect of Transport Law and Legal Compliance.
5. Ensure all new drivers, either agency or employed, are subject to pre-employment LGV driving assessments.
6. Maintain training records accurately and securely.
7. Ensure that all driver licence checks are conducted at pre-employment and periodically as agreed with GM and adequate records kept.
8. Monitor & manage fleet in line with Operator License.
9. Maintain all safety standards.
10. Keep in touch with industry ideals to improve the fleet.
11. Support the GM with the procurement process for new equipment.
12. Manage Operator License Margin.
13. Support with Continuous improvement projects.
