About the role:
In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that the manufactured parts and assemblies meet the highest standards of quality. With a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement, you'll be instrumental in driving excellence within the organisation.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Operate state-of-the-art CMM equipment to conduct precise measurements of manufactured parts and assemblies.
2. Utilise software like Inspect3D Pro to programme CMMs for automated inspections, contributing to efficiency and accuracy.
3. Interpret complex engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to define inspection requirements.
4. Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, maintaining our commitment to quality.
5. Document and report on inspection results, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions to enhance our manufacturing processes.
6. Collaborate closely with the quality assurance and production teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and problem-solving to address any quality issues.
About you:
You are not just a meticulous CMM Operator; you are a proactive team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring proven experience as a CMM Operator or in a similar inspection role. You are able to demonstrate proficiency in CMM software, enabling you to programme and operate with confidence. You have a strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings, allowing you to interpret requirements effectively. You will have an eagle eye for detail and accuracy in measurements—your commitment to quality is unmatched! Ideally, you will have a technical degree or certification in metrology, mechanical engineering, or a related field (preferred). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You should possess the ability to work independently when needed, while also embracing the power of teamwork.
