A CS will manage the classroom in the absence of a teacher, and will deliver the pre-prepared lesson materials to the pupils. No qualifications are needed for this role, making it a great opportunity for those who would love to work as a teacher to give it a go before considering doing a PGCE. Key Responsibilities: Deliver pre-planned lessons across different subjects and year groups in the absence of the regular teacher. Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline, in line with school policies. Act as a professional role model, maintaining focus and positive behavior to foster a productive learning environment.
