Industrial Engineer // Process Engineer
Location: Goole, UK
Duration: 6 months +
Qualifications:
1. Experience: 3—5 years of experience in planning and support in the launch of vehicle production and new factory layout development.
2. Leadership: 2 years of team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (Equivalent proven experience will be considered instead of a higher degree).
4. Industry Experience: Work experience in the rail/aviation business, preferably in heavy rail if in Rail.
5. Project Management Skills: Firm skills, including developing project plans, timelines/schedules, budgets, proposed layouts, resource requirements, calculating ROI, etc.
6. Lean Principles: Practical knowledge of the lean toolbox and the ability to utilize lean principles to reduce waste.
7. Problem-Solving: A history of a “hands-on” approach to problem-solving and countermeasure implementation within own areas of responsibility.
8. Plant Roll Out: Practical knowledge in implementing new plant roll out ensuring timelines/schedules and budgets are maintained.
9. Project Drive: A history of driving projects in a very dynamic environment and completing them on time.
10. Sophisticated Factory Planning Methods: Practical experience in defining high-level manufacturing plans, identifying/analyzing new technologies stream analysis, performing total space needs analysis, implementation planning, etc.
11. Knowledge Transfer: Practical experience in transferring technical, manufacturing knowledge and proprietary technologies from lead factories to market factories.
12. Lean Methods and Tools: Practical experience utilizing and implementing lean methods and tools such as 5S, 7 Types of Waste, and 8-Step.
