About the Role
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £52,285-£60,730/€56,500- €84,700 + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As the Stores Team Manager, you will lead the Stores and Logistics team within SSE's Onshore Renewables business. This role is instrumental in using data and system analysis to inform decision-making and innovate spare parts strategies. Your key activities will include daily operations management of UK and Ireland Stores, budgeting for fleet spare parts, and participating in transformative improvement projects such as digitising all stores. Additionally, you will manage the documentation related to store operations and provide excellent customer service representation.
Main accountabilities may include:
* Actively promoting a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with safety and waste management regulations.
* Overseeing and optimising operations planning to enhance resource efficiency and meet business objectives.
* Leading and motivating a small team, fostering teamwork to achieve company goals.
* Representing Renewable Operations locally and managing inquiries to support a positive company reputation.
* Procuring inventory and services across UK & Ireland Stores as per corporate policies, ensuring continuity and compliance.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
* Knowledge and experience in inventory management, procurement, and ensuring compliance with standards.
* Experience managing documentation in logistics, including familiarity with the LOLER register with a strong grasp of health and safety regulations in industrial settings and experience promoting a safety culture.
* Experience in leading teams with strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster cross-functional collaboration along with excellent communication skills for managing customer service and inquiries professionally.
* Skilled in budget and quality management, with experience in continuous operational improvements and proven ability to manage and optimise operations for resource efficiency within budget constraints.
* Proficient in performance management and development, with knowledge of effective training practices.
