Hoop Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Welsh-Speaking Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join our team in the Pembrokeshire area. This full-time role involves working in Welsh-medium primary schools, providing vital support to children with additional learning needs (ALN) and helping them to achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support in Welsh to children with ALN in Welsh-medium primary school settings.
2. Work closely with teachers to deliver one-to-one or small group support in Welsh, ensuring that pupils with ALN are fully included in classroom activities.
3. Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure they are followed effectively.
4. Modify resources and teaching strategies in Welsh to meet the specific needs of each pupil.
5. Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all children, regardless of their learning needs, feel supported and valued.
6. Support the social, emotional, and academic development of children in a Welsh-speaking environment.
Requirements:
1. Fluency in Welsh is essential.
2. Experience in a school setting, particularly working with children with additional learning needs (ALN).
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both children and staff in Welsh.
4. A compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach when supporting children.
5. A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
6. Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are highly desirable.
