Rotational Band 6 Pharmacist West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven (1 post available)
Are you qualifying as a pharmacist this year? Are you already a pharmacist but looking to commence a career in hospital pharmacy? We have vacancies on our well-established rotational pharmacist foundation training program. You will be supported as you begin your career journey in hospital pharmacy.
Main duties of the job
You will gain a broad wealth of experience in a variety of clinical settings including emergency admissions, general medicines, surgery, and frailty, as well as dispensary. You will be supported by advanced specialist pharmacists in each rotation as well as benefiting from foundation level training. Our rotational pharmacists are also studying for diploma qualifications in clinical pharmacy practice. We also provide a clinical and dispensary service 6 days per week and an on-call service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Training for GPhC registration 2022 or already GPhC registered
* MPharm or equivalent.
* Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
* Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent.
Experience
* Experience of Hospital pharmacy work
Knowledge
* Broad clinical / pharmaceutical knowledge. Use of Microsoft Office & internet.
* Current issues within pharmacy & the NHS
* Spreadsheet & database packages.
* Highly developed communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to communicate complex information effectively.
* Excellent analytical skills, with ability to make judgements on conflicting data using critical appraisal.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
* Ability to work accurately to deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to identify and implement best practice.

* Able to travel between sites as required.
* Ability to participate in Trust wide out of hour's on call service.
