Over three years, you will rotate through all of the Finance teams at Warburtons and be supported through the CIMA qualification to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience required to lead teams and projects in the future. This role gives real responsibility early, contributing to the team’s success while learning the practical application of finance skills, analysis, and insight. Key Accountabilities and Measures Core Finance Processes: Ownership of core transactional processes including: Weekly and period end journal postings Bill of Materials management Accounting for customer bonuses and discounts Management of customer pricing Reporting and Analysis: Deliver routine reporting and provide insightful analysis supporting: Promotional investment Capital investment and appraisal Variance analysis NPD evaluation Balance Sheet Management : Understanding and ownership balance sheet reconciliations Controls and Compliance: Ensure that appropriate financial controls are followed and developed as appropriate, including: Promotions spend processes Support for internal and external audits Maintenance of the Controls Matrix Business Partnering : Builds great relationships across the business, turns data into insight and brings the numbers to life for the key stakeholders Budgeting and Forecasting: Plays an active role in the budgeting and forecasting processes, taking responsibility for: Cost to serve and product profitability Stakeholder reviews and inputs into the IBP process Continuous Improvement: Identification and implementation of improvement opportunities Personal Development: Commitment to professional qualification, Warburtons Leadership Programmes and other relevant personal development Essential Ingredients Degree in relevant subject, such as Business Studies, Finance, Economics Willing to study CIMA or another professional accounting qualification and progress through to qualification within 3 years Self- starter and confident working in teams Good communication skills with the ability and willingness to support and collaborate Strong IT literacy and experience using MS Office suite Self-organised, self-motivated, action oriented and efficient Works effectively with peer group and senior leadership, managing expectations Demonstrates strong analytical skills and is able to balance the need for analysis and rigour with speed of action when solving problems Ability to work under pressure and deliver to agreed timescales Demonstration of a “right first time” approach with close attention to detail Highly numerate Extra Dough At last and by no means least, you will want to know what your breads worth: A slice of the annual profits (discretionary profit share) 25 days holiday Family time is important to us and we know it will be to you so you have the opportunity to purchase up to an extra weeks annual leave.
