A leading Chartered Accountancy practice based in Ashford is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Administrator to join their experienced payroll team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Dependent on experience and interest, there would also be the opportunity to get involved in bookkeeping work too, but this isn’t essential.
Our client is a great firm of chartered accountants, who have an excellent reputation and they're undergoing excellent growth.
Responsibilities:
Manage client payrolls, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
Prepare and process RTI returns and other statutory submissions
Calculate and process SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments
Administer auto enrolment pension schemes and other third-party deductions
Handle queries from clients and HMRC
Prepare and present annual reports to clients
Provide clients with accurate and timely payroll advice
Opportunity to do ad hoc bookkeeping and VAT work
Requirements
Payroll Administrator in Ashford
Have a proven track record of ensuring attention to detail, and delivering a high standard of accuracy within tight timescales.
Be proficient in the use of payroll software such as Sage, Xero, BrightPay etc. would be an advantage (but not essential)
Be a team player with a professional, adaptable and positive approach.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly telephone manner.
Maintain excellent levels of customer service to all clients and internal departments
Positive attitude and highly organised
Have commercial awareness and great time management
