This is a full-time, permanent position offering a unique platform for an individual with a passion for music education to nurture the next generation of musicians.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and innovative music lessons to Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
* Design and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with the national curriculum standards
* Foster a love for music through diverse activities, including instrumental tuition, ensembles, choirs, and music theory
* Prepare students for examinations and performances, ensuring they reach their full potential
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's overall music program
* Stay current with the latest developments in music education pedagogy
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Proven experience teaching music in a secondary school setting
* Strong instrumental and/or vocal proficiency
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
