The Role
The role will vary based on each client's requirements; however, you will provide support to either the Engineering Manager or Plant Manager by delivering quality and efficient Electrical services during planned maintenance, breakdowns, and the installation of new plant and equipment.
You will provide safety reports and risk assessments on machines to identify and help reduce the risk of hazards to workers.
Your Background
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Self-motivation and the ability to operate independently within a close-knit team.
* Possession of a valid “A Grade Electrical Licence”.
* White Card & EWP Licence.
* Previous exposure to the Industrial Manufacturing sector, including FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Energy, or Packaging.
* A proven track record in identifying operational enhancements and successfully implementing them from conception to fruition.
* Prior engagement as the primary electrician at a manufacturing site, overseeing both production lines and standalone equipment.
* Hands-on experience with high-speed packing machines, conveyors, sensors, and related equipment.
* Sound knowledge of motor control, basic PLCs, and Variable Speed Drives (VSD).
* Strong people management skills and the ability to demonstrate a proactive approach and form good relationships with other technicians and stakeholders.
What’s on Offer
You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients within different sectors, which will help grow your skill set. The role is based on Melbourne Metro clients, and there will be a requirement to travel to sites within the inner west and inner north, with limited weekends required. The package includes:
$110,000 – $125,000 (inclusive of super) + Vehicle + Call out / Penalty rates.
