Our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service at HMP Long Lartin is looking for a dynamic and experienced qualified Mental Health Professional to join it's team. The team is innovative and forward thinking, committed to a Recovery focused approach. It works with people from initial assessment through to discharge, which can include transferring care to other providers such as hospitals or CMHTs, whilst working with a variety of agencies in the Offender Health Pathway. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for the management and leadership of the team. With a small clinical caseload, you will offer assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based interventions. The team manages a caseload of patients, practicing within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach. An excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its application to people who require transfer to hospital will be required.
