Intervention Lead

As an intervention lead, you will provide informative, engaging sessions face to face to play a crucial role in making a positive impact on the educational journey of young learners with additional needs.
This role is working in a primary school in Tamworth and is suited to a candidate with a keen passion for education and learning, confident in creating a positive learning environment that promotes student growth and development.
You will also be expected to have good communication skills and effective group management experience.
This would suit ECTs to develop skills and gain experience in an education setting.
About The Role:
* Enthusiastic about education and teaching
* Provide 1:1, 2:1, or small group support to students with special educational needs
* Plan resources around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects such as phonics, literacy, and numeracy
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Ensure the safeguarding of children
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team
* Assist students in their educational and social development
* Be creative with activities to promote learning and inclusivity
* Resource engaging and creative lessons to get pupils back up to speed in their learning
About You:
* Experience supporting children with additional needs (ASD and ADHD)
* Previous experience in an education environment or possess appropriate transferable skills to support children with additional needs
* Full-time availability
* Experience supporting children with SEN in either SEN schools/provisions or 1:1
* Behaviour management skills
* Be flexible to work across year groups/key stages
* Ability to use initiative
* Be creative with activities to promote learning and inclusivity
* Ability to manage and implement different behaviour strategies and coping mechanisms would be desirable in this role as the pupil will likely have behaviour needs that need to be met
