Care Assistant (Nightshift)
At Ardenlee Care Home, we specialize in residential care for 32 residents.
We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our close-knit team, promoting exceptional care and support to our residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Empowering independence: Assisting residents with daily routines, encouraging positive choices, and promoting independence.
* Personalized care: Supporting each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help, and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
* Health and wellbeing: Monitoring residents' health, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assisting with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Championing dignity: Upholding the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
* Social support: Encouraging social interactions among residents and staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Safety and comfort: Maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Nutritional support: Assisting residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
About this role:
* Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
* Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, or transferable skills.
* Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
* Values: Integrity, respect, and strong teamwork.
This is a full-time contract position working 36 hours per week on a night shift, with a salary of £12.10 per hour.
