Our client, a leading mental health hospital specializing in the rehabilitation of adults with mental health conditions, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Clinical Services to join their dynamic leadership team. This senior role presents the chance to lead and shape clinical services, ensuring high-quality patient care while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
As the Director of Clinical Services, you will have oversight of all clinical operations, including nursing and therapy services, playing a critical role in the strategic development and delivery of the hospital's objectives. You will work alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team, developing strong relationships with external professionals and driving positive clinical outcomes.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
NMC Registration: A nursing qualification (RMN or RNLD) with a valid UK NMC PIN.
Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managerial roles (e.g., Ward Manager, Director of Clinical Services), with strong leadership and decision-making capabilities. A forward-thinking, proactive, and creative approach to problem-solving is essential.
Budget Management: Demonstrated experience in managing clinical budgets and resources effectively.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of statutory regulations and their application in a mental health setting.
People Management: A strong background in people management, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff while developing high-performance teams.
Innovation & Culture: A proven track record of leading and implementing quality initiatives, fostering innovation, and creating a positive, engaging work culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership: Provide operational and clinical leadership across all clinical services, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
Strategic Development: Contribute to the creation and execution of the hospital's strategic vision, focusing on clinical excellence and superior patient outcomes.
Budget Management: Oversee the clinical budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources while maintaining financial integrity.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, organizational policies, and professional standards, maintaining high levels of accountability and adherence to guidelines.
Quality and Continuous Improvement: Lead and implement quality improvement initiatives, driving continuous enhancements in clinical care and therapeutic outcomes.
External Collaboration: Build and sustain positive professional relationships with external healthcare and social care professionals to enhance service delivery.
Staff Leadership and Development: Lead the clinical team with a focus on support, development, and creating a positive, proactive, and engaging workplace culture.
