Team Leader - WHSmith - Selfridges, Oxford Street Contract Type: Permanent Working hours: 39hrs, 5 days a week, working every other weekend. Due to an internal promotion, we have a vacancy for a Team Leader. We're looking for an individual to inspire the team to deliver exceptional customer service, someone passionate about Books & Magazines and used to working to Key Performance Indicators. You will be driving sales and supporting the Store Manager with the day to day operation of the store to maximise profit. The Accountabilities Creating a customer service led culture which is always striving to improve performance Ensuring all staff deliver a professional, friendly service to all customers, with all customers being consistently acknowledged. Play an active role on the shop floor with the team Work with the management team to maximise opportunities to drive sales and increase footfall Working with the management team to ensure store is fully compliant with pricing, promotions, legislation and landlord agreements Meeting high standards of display and visual merchandising, helping customers find what they're looking for easily. Drive the team to achieve both individual and store targets including sales, shrink, waste, cash loss and payroll costs Recruit, motivate & train the team to deliver individual and store targets, including average transaction value and add on sales Performance management of the team Deliver a legal, safe and secure workplace Deputise for Store Manager in their absence The Requirements Previous experience of working in a customer focused retail environment Previous experience of leading and motivating a team Proven experience of working to and achieving challenging Key Performance Indicators Flexibility towards working hours Strong communication skills.
