An enthusiastic and engaging teacher of Economics & Business is required to join our outstanding Economics & Business Department.
The successful candidate will be, above all, passionate about Business, Economics and Finance. They will be excited about sharing their subject passion with our students and ready to make a mark on our vibrant school community through their teaching.
The successful candidate will be required to teach both GCSE and A Level Business, alongside A Level Economics. The successful candidate will also contribute to our Year 9 Finance programme and wider entrepreneurial extra-curricular programme.
The position is available as either full time or a four-day (0.8) part time role. Please indicate your preference in your application.
Economics and Business at Northwood College for Girls
At A Level, Economics and Business are well-established and highly popular subjects. We follow the Edexcel specifications for both subjects. Our Business and Economics students have achieved 91% and 96% A*-B grades respectively over the past 5 years, and many students pursue undergraduate degrees in related fields at leading universities, such as LSE, UCL, Warwick and Nottingham.
From September 2025, we will have our first cohort for GCSE Business. This option has proven tremendously popular with our current Year 9 students, with over half the year group opting for the subject
