Main duties of the job The People Assurance and Experience Manager plays a key leadership role, providing expert advice and operational oversight across a range of critical workforce areas. The role involves: Leading the development, implementation and review of employment policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation, case law and best practice. Providing highly specialist advice to managers and staff on matters relating to people policies, systems and governance. Acting as the UHB's Job Evaluation Lead Managing statutory compliance relating to Right to Work, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Off Payroll Working, and Certificates of Sponsorship. Overseeing the People Assurance and Experience contribution to the corporate vacancy scrutiny process, providing assurance and supporting good governance. Managing and developing the People Assurance and Experience team, ensuring high standards of delivery, performance, and staff engagement. Building effective relationships with colleagues across the People and Culture function, senior leaders, trade union partners, and external stakeholders including NWSSP payroll and recruitment services. This is a pivotal role requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professional credibility. You will work across the organisation and wider NHS network to support the consistent delivery of effective and compliant people practices.
