Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies, you will develop and implement personalized strategies and interventions aimed at fostering inclusive learning environments and nurturing positive outcomes for all students. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the provision of Special Educational Needs (SEN) support throughout the school. Collaborating with teaching staff to identify and assess the requirements of students with SEN. Crafting and executing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of individual students. Providing guidance and training to teachers on effective practices for supporting students with SEN in the classroom. Facilitating communication between parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a unified approach to support. Regularly evaluating and refining SEN provision to adapt to the evolving needs of students. Keeping abreast of pertinent legislation, policies, and best practices in SEN provision. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial teaching experience. Possession of the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification or a willingness to pursue it. Demonstrated experience in SEN coordination or a related role within a school setting. A solid understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
