JOB TITLE: SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER
LOCATION: HULL
SALARY: CIRCA £60,000 BASE SALARY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE, PLUS PENSION, SHARE OPTIONS, 27 DAY HOLIDAY

Now in their next stage of growth they are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer.
JOB OVERVIEW:
This Senior Mechanical Engineer role will play a key part in the technology deployment of the company’s units as well as brown and greenfield site development to ensure utilities and infrastructure are available. Applying all relevant Mechanical Engineering standards, producing all relevant documentation, to enable the unit and infrastructure to be built and installed on client sites.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Definition and approval of mechanical aspects of the design and construction for infrastructure and services required to supply the unit
• Participate in feasibility studies of client sites including initial concept and system design.
• Manage the interface between the mechanical team and other disciplines.
• Manage the activities of Design Houses and EPCs involved in project delivery.
• Design of Pressure Vessels, piping and components.
• Producing design calculations, materials selections, drawings, Bill of Materials, and equipment specifications in line with the applicable codes and standards.
• Approval of mechanical calculations and drawings.
• Mechanical sign off any design changes and implemented changes within the field as part of a management of change process.
• Support the development of the technical files, covering the design, supply, assembly and test requirements for a certified pieces of equipment.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with fabricators and vendors, including vendor audits.
• Integrate with suppliers to source materials that meet design, cost and timescale requirements.
• Support the development of company process engineering design standards and best practice.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience.
• Significant previous experience of working as a Mechanical Engineer in a relevant industry.
• Experience in interpreting and revising P&IDs
• Familiar with design and specification of equipment in accordance with typical design codes and governing legislation.
• Experience and understanding of working with design house/EPC
• Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
