JOB- Product Engineer LOCATION- Polegate TERM- Permanent SALARY- £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits) Premier Engineering is seeking a Product Engineer with a strong manufacturing background to join our client’s dynamic team in Polegate. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a passion for optimizing product designs and processes in a manufacturing environment. The Product Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Proven experience in a product engineering or manufacturing engineering role A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, such as machining, assembly, or fabrication Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and process improvement techniques Experience with production tooling, jigs, and fixtures development Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills for liaising with cross-functional teams The Product Engineer role will involve: Collaborating with design and production teams to ensure product manufacturability and efficiency Developing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and reduce costs Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including BOMs and work instructions Providing hands-on support in troubleshooting manufacturing challenges and implementing solutions Identifying and driving opportunities for continuous improvement in production methods Supporting the introduction of new products into manufacturing Conducting root cause analysis for product defects and implementing corrective actions Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards throughout the production lifecycle If you are a Product Engineer with a strong manufacturing focus and a passion for driving product and process excellence, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, including your availability and salary expectations.
