Morson Talent currently have an exciting new position for a Material Co-Ordinator to join our prestigious Aerospace client based in Yeovil. This role is an ongoing contract position.
The Production Material Coordinator role is supporting the Material Manager whilst coordinating the Production Forward Planners and Production Availability Officers with the Material Service element of a production order book to ensure successful milestones and aircraft deliveries are achieved within financial and working capital budgets.
Ensure that activities under their control are undertaken in accordance with the requirements as set out in the Health, Safety and Environment Operating Manual (HSEOM) and the procedures and guidance contained within.
You will be responsible for meeting your day to day tasks, producing your deliverables on time and at the right quality in order that the Aircraft Operations team can meet its objectives.
Job Purpose:
1. To support the Material Delivery Manager in the delivery and management of material supply to the aircraft build facility, ensuring milestones and aircraft deliveries are successful and within financial budgets.
2. To be a contact for business stakeholders ensuring clear and timely communication reference material status, risks and escalations.
Main Activities:
1. Take ownership of and resolve complex material problems to ensure customer satisfaction and business improvement.
2. Work closely with the Production Logistic Controllers and Aircraft Managers to ensure material is delivered to the build facility on time.
3. Forge good working relationships with business stakeholders, including Procurement, Logistics provider, Programmes, Manufacturing Engineering and MRP.
4. Be self-sufficient in the analysis of material data and the execution of business processes, ensuring key issues are escalated appropriately.
5. Attend material review meetings and provide material status reports as required by the business.
6. Provide support to team members to ensure individual and team effectiveness.
7. Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
8. Understand and comply with the Code of Ethics - Core Instruction No.PER.10.3 at all times.
