Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
2. Create and develop innovative menu items
3. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
4. Supervise and train staff in food preparation techniques
5. Manage inventory and control food costs
6. Collaborate with management to develop new recipes and menus
7. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
8. Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
9. Assist with special events or catering as needed
Skills:
1. Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
2. Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
3. Culinary expertise with a focus on creating delicious and visually appealing dishes
4. Proficient in all aspects of food preparation, including cooking techniques, ingredient selection, and portion control

7. Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and trends
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Chef/ Cook or similar role in a hospitality setting
2. Food Hygiene Level 2
3. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
