Role Purpose
The CNC Programmer is responsible for the programming, setting, and operating of CNC machines (Bretons) and Kuka Robots to ensure smooth daily operations, meet production targets, and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Program CNC machines and Kuka Robots to manufacture composite components.
Ensure daily production goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Support the implementation of Lean principles, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Adjust machine cutting paths and settings to optimize productivity while maintaining quality.
Choose appropriate tools for cutting materials and program machines accordingly.
Identify and resolve issues with CNC machines and robots to minimize downtime.
Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and TPM tasks, to ensure machines operate smoothly.
Provide training for new employees on the proper operation and setting of CNC machines and robots.
Read and interpret technical drawings and design models accurately.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Must have experience and strong working knowledge of Power Mill software.
Familiarity with OpenMind Hypermill software is essential.
Experience with Vericut software is desirable.
Understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
Basic understanding of the construction of race cars and road cars.
Basic knowledge of stock management and control processes.
At least 2 years of experience in the F1, Motorsport, or Automotive industry.
Proficient in programming and operating Fanuc 3 & 5-axis control systems.
Experience with 3-axis Fusion 360 and Power Mill CAM software for programming and operation.
Strong team player with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
Awareness and adherence to health and safety regulations
