We are looking for a pro-active and commercially minded Paralegal to help support the day-to-day legal requirements of our expanding and evolving operations across our industry leading Financial Advisory businesses in the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Caribbean. This is an excellent opportunity to join Teneo’s global financial advisory team (with Quality and Risk Management (“QRM”) team members based across the UK in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, and London). This role can be based in any of our UK offices (Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, and London) and will report to the QRM Advisory Lead who is based in London.
Key Responsibilities
* Support engagement teams in the review and agreement of Non-Disclosure Agreements (own template and clients)
* Support engagement teams in the review and agreement of engagement contracts (standard templates)
* Support engagement teams in the review and agreement of client master service agreements with support from the Group Legal function
* Provide general legal and administrative support to the team, including updating and maintaining templates, guidance notes, filing, and executing agreements
* Handle queries and requests from colleagues and third parties
* Manage KYC requests
* Support with policies and procedures
* Develop processes and identify areas for continuous improvement
* Support the QRM Advisory Lead and the team on ad hoc projects as required
Skills and Experience
* Must have at least one year’s paralegal experience, previous in-house experience preferred
* Experience in contracting is required
* Excellent communication skills and able to deal confidently and positively with inquiries in person, in writing, or on calls
* Strong attention to detail even while working under pressure
* Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks in accordance with deadlines and workload demands
* A positive can-do attitude with enthusiasm to take on new tasks and curiosity to learn about new areas
* Strong organization, administration, and IT (in particular Word/Excel) skills
