Responsibilities
* Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and startup of all types of instrumentation and logic control systems including:
o Flowmeters; magnetic, venturi, orifice plate
o Differential pressure; flow, level
o Level; ultrasonic, capacitance
o Analyzers; filter backwash optimization, turbidity, pH, gas
o Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
o PLC and SCADA system programming
* Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting support for control systems
* Perform system testing and validation to ensure proper functionality and performance
* Conduct training sessions for customers on the operation and maintenance of control systems
* Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations while working on-site
* Develop and maintain long-term client relationships as well as be a team player with other staff members.
* Travel throughout the United States is required, approximately 25% of the year.
Minimum Requirements
* 2-year technical degree
* Minimum of 5 years significant experience in municipal (water/wastewater) automation projects including complex field service installation and startup activities.
* Minimum of 5 years knowledge and experience with gravity filter system backwash procedures and filter backwash optimization technology, Biogas and Filter Membrane Technology project experience is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems design, programming, and/or troubleshooting
* Having extensive knowledge and experience in water and wastewater plant processes, water plant gravity filter systems, and wastewater plant tertiary filter control systems is a plus
* Programming experience with hardware and software below is a plus:
o HMI/SCADA Application Software
o GE HMI/SCADA Proficy iFIX Industrial Automation Software
o Inductive Automation Ignition HMI/SCADA Software
o Trihedral VTScada HMI/SCADA Software
o Rockwell RSView32 HMI/SCADA Software
o Wonderware InTouch HMI/SCADA Archestra Software
* Programmable Logic Controllers
o Rockwell Allen Bradley PLCs
o Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs
o Emerson Bristol ControlWave PLCs
* Communications experience with the following is a plus:
o Ethernet fiber-optic data highway systems
+ Fiber-optic testing & terminations
o Actuator-Sensor Interface (AS-I) 2-wire bus networks
o Licensed and Unlicensed Radio systems
+ Microwave Data Systems
+ Radio surveys
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
* Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
* Valid driver's license
