Job description:
As our next International Category Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving sustainable Category Value, Volume growth and out-performance for Premier Foods in Europe. You will be leading the unlocking of Brand & Sales opportunities by developing and executing proactive Category Management strategies, techniques and tactics.
The Role...
Within this role, your day to day activities will include supporting and developing category-centric expertise internally with Sales, Marketing & Innovation teams, and externally with Key Retailers. There is an opportunity to find ways of encouraging accelerated growth and share in each of the categories that Premier operates in, ensuring that growth benefits both Retailer and Premier Foods, while putting focus on the Shopper & Consumer.
To deliver this, your remit will include developing impactful insights to drive total category growth for key categories for both Retailers and Premier Foods, focusing on range, space, promotion, pricing and display. You will also be managing Category relationships in key distribution partners and Retailers, developing these relationships and providing category support as part of our wider business relationship or to support Premier Foods initiatives.
This is a key role within the team, and your future will involve attending key Distributor and Retailer meetings to bring insights and recommendations as part of the wider Account Management Team. You will be providing periodic category, shopper & market insights as regular service-provision requirements and for customer cycles, or other in store initiatives. Your role will also involve providing data, insights & expertise to help the European Team and wider International buiness uni strategy formulation, new Category entry, or deepening of market penetration in existing Categories.
You will be the voice of European Retailers in internal commercial decision making to ensure our plans have all the required inputs, working closely with Sales, Marketing & Finance to help shape thinking. Additionally, you will be working with Grocery and Sweet Treats within UK business unit to share best practice and keep up to date with tools and techniques.
