Senior Quantity Surveyor
Site & Office Based – Full Time
A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support all commercial aspects of project delivery across a variety of contracts. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the role focuses on ensuring financial efficiency, contract compliance, and the smooth operation of project teams. The position involves both on-site and office-based responsibilities, and successful candidates will be required to undergo security clearance checks.

* £50,000 – £65,000

Senior Quantity Surveyor Duties
* Provide end-to-end commercial management for multiple projects
* Maximise commercial outcomes while ensuring delivery aligns with contract conditions
* Review tender documents to identify scope, risks, and deliverables
* Produce project budgets, schedules of work, and Bills of Quantities when needed
* Attend and contribute to meetings with clients and stakeholders
* Lead the procurement process for subcontractors, labour, and materials
* Manage project budgets, forecasts, valuations, and invoicing processes
* Track and document variations and additional works to ensure revenue recovery
* Guide junior team members, manage workloads, and support their development
* Support project compliance with internal reporting requirements and financial KPIs
Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements
Essential:
* HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying
* 5–10 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role
* Knowledge of NEC contracts and construction contract law
* Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
* Willingness and ability to travel between sites
Desirable:
* MRICS qualification or willingness to work towards membership
