Their services range from design, surveys, utility applications, energy strategies, energy planning statements, SAP/EPC calculations, and final construction requirements.

They are looking for a competent Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team.
Your new role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of design and delivery of mechanical services for a portfolio of projects.
You will be responsible for; undertaking calculations, production of drawings, producing specifications and reports, conducting site surveys, conducting construction stage duties, providing client liaison, consulting with members of design/construction teams and any other relevant duties required to comply with project briefs. Producing and reviewing mechanical design drawings will be key. You should be capable of managing your own workload and the workload of others, updating forward plans of workload regularly & working to time allocations.
Key responsibilities:
* Production and review of detailed design calculations for all aspects of mechanical design.
* Production of specifications and plant schedules.
* Production of design notes, basis of design and RIBA stage reports showing compliance with standards and best practice.
* Production of design drawings from conception through to detailed design.
* Conducting detailed site surveys and inspection of installations.
* Mentoring and guidance of junior to intermediate engineers.
What you'll need to succeed
* Accredited Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree or higher educational qualification.
* Chartered engineer or working towards membership.
* Ability to manage and deliver mechanical building services engineering designs across a range of sectors.
* Experienced in project lead and delivery of mechanical services across multiple projects.
* Conducting any or all stages of mechanical design from concept to completion as required.
* Experience in a range of digital tools including AutoCAD, Revit, IES, NBS and Microsoft packages.
* Fully conversant with technical and legislation requirements for mechanical services equipment and installation design and management.
* Able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions on developing the discipline design elements, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.
* Strong communication and people skills.
* Consulting closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams.
* Strong report writing skills.
* Experience of producing and supporting estimates and bid writing would be beneficial.
* Experience in managing and mentoring junior to intermediate engineers.
