About the role:
Governor Services is a traded support service providing clerking services, strategic support, and guidance to governing boards of schools and academies nationally. We are currently seeking effective, high-quality Clerks to governing boards to further enhance existing provision.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Clerk to governors/trustees, the post holder will be responsible for advising the governing board on constitutional matters, duties, and powers and will work within the board's current legislative framework. Governing Board meetings are held during the day and in the evening; therefore, a flexible approach to working is required. Successful candidates will be allocated a mentor upon appointment where full training and support will be given.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Ideally, you will need to have experience of working in an education setting and will be familiar with the work of school governing boards. Good knowledge of school governance regulations is desirable, as you will be expected to provide support and guidance to governors and school leaders.
