Description As the global lead for the Organisational Development service and Centre of Excellence within Mace Consult, you will be responsible for the service offer, standards and processes used, as well as the upskilling and engagement of the OD community, across the Consult business. In addition you will be highly experienced in delivering large scale Organisational Design and Development to transform organisational effectiveness in a project, programme, portfolio or corporate environment. The successful candidate will be emotionally intelligent and adaptable, to manage the needs of the business and client relationships, as well as being an experienced leader supporting the needs of a geographically dispersed team. Job summary Shapes the strategy for the Organisational Development (OD) practice. Leads, develops, and grows a diverse team across 4 geographical hubs; Europe, APAC, MENA, America’s Leads on the development and collaboration of organisational, team and individual effectiveness in major project and programmes. Delivers OD service deliverables for allocated projects and programmes, adapting to suit the scale and complexity. Key responsibilities Drives the bidding process, overseeing OD methodology ensuring it is embedded into bid and mobilisation plans. Holds accountability for the OD pre-mobilisation and mobilisation plans for the projects/programmes as required, in advance of contract award. Maintains, cultivates and establishes a strong collaborative network, developing partnerships with key senior internal and external stakeholders. Manages, influences and negotiates with senior project leaders to gain insights to what works well, their challenges around organisational effectiveness, including team and individual dynamics and team maturity. Leads the implementation of a systematic performance improvement cycle to continually improve the quality of function/portfolio. Identifies and measures team performance maturity/organisational effectiveness maturity, sharing progress and concerns with the project leadership, creates action plans to maintain and increase maturity/effectiveness. Holds accountability for developing, shaping adapting programmes of work for client organisation and/or programme team to support maturity/effectiveness/collaborative behaviour, provides expert discipline advice and counsel. Delivers performance management, technical development, direction and coaching of leaders and their teams. Owns and leads the programme of work, with external providers, to ensure targeted interventions with maximum impact. Partners as strategic business partner with leaders and the internal communication resource for the project/programme (where they are in place) to ensure OD work aligns with project disciplines and is echoed through communications.
