As a key member of our team at Bradbury Consulting Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Graduate Building Surveyor to join our ranks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building surveying, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake detailed measured surveys and create accurate CAD plans, incorporating relevant information on M&E items and fixtures.
* Conduct thorough building surveys and inspections for various purposes, including condition schedules and reports.
* Meet with clients, develop outline designs, and ensure compliance with building regulations and government guidance.
* Prepare drawings for planning submissions, complete planning applications, and liaise with local planning authorities on behalf of clients.
* Collaborate with other design team members to develop designs, including structural engineers, M&E teams, and specialist consultants.
* Provide detailed design and construction level drawings, technical information, and specifications for tender or construction purposes.
* Develop schedules of work and associated tender documentation.
* Manage the tender process, prepare tender reports, and financial documentation.
* Administer contracts, issue instructions, monitor project costs, and prepare payment claim documentation.
* Attend and chair formal meetings with clients and contractors, prepare meeting minutes, and action points raised.
* Monitor, manage, and inspect construction works on site, liaise with operatives, and answer technical queries.
* Serve as a point of contact for clients, maintaining positive and productive relationships.
* Support the property management team with technical queries and small project works.
* Undertake typical administration tasks associated with project works, ensuring documents and files are up to date.
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Building Surveying (RICS accredited).
* 1-2 years of post-graduate experience.
* Proficient in AutoCAD.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Desire to work towards MRICS status.
* A proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
