Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Permanent, Full time job vacancy
Day shifts. Monday-Friday and NO Weekends!!! (unless overtime is available)
In your new role as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be joining a strong, established team of Maintenance engineers, and will support the day-to-day manufacturing process in the most efficient manner, whilst working within a team structure.
What are we looking for:
1. Time served Mechanical Engineer
2. Maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
3. City & Guilds qualification, Minimum level 2 or equivalent
4. Excellent fitting skills, welding and fabrication skills
5. Experience of planned maintenance
6. Hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding
7. Well organised, self-motivated and capable of working to tight deadlines
8. Good attention to detail
9. Proactive approach to problem solving
Your Duties as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
1. Performing reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical machinery across the site
2. Effective recording and monitoring of all engineering/production-based issues
3. Troubleshooting problems and suggesting improvements to prevent reoccurrence
4. Communicating with Production Managers / Team Leaders on progress of issues
5. Completing scheduled maintenance
6. Investigating faults with plant and equipment, completing any necessary repairs, and reporting status within the maintenance recording system.
Working hours:
7.30am-4pm, with an early dart on a Friday!!
Occasional overtime opportunities
