As a member of the joinery team, you will be working amongst highly skilled colleagues. Your work will cover a broad range of projects, supplying beautiful joinery to high-end residential properties Job Purpose of the Joinery Estimator To be responsible for creating and submitting accurate, detailed costings and tender documents for high-end residential joinery projects up to the value of £1,000,000. Throughout each project, you will provide early identification of any price variations, specification changes and scope within the quoted allowances in order to ensure all variations and changes are monitored and recovered. To manage quoted allowances throughout the project duration ensuring allowances are not exceeded and to identify any changes that may impact the financial performance of the project. To manage vesting certificates requests and to produce and submit monthly valuations. To work with General Manager to ensure cashflow and P&L forecasts are met. Estimating To liaise with architects, site teams and clients throughout the pre-tender, live and post tender negotiation stages To produce Auto Cad & Sketch up drawings at tender stage to articulate details and requirements from subcontractors To review tender drawings and schedules to identify potential construction issues, establish scopes of work and accurate detailed estimates To gather and review external quotes for specialist items from appropriate supply chains, such as sub-contractor workshops, appliances, metalwork, glazing and ironmongery to support tender submissions To complete bill of quantities and schedules as required. To develop and increase subcontractor and supply chain, Surveying To prepare and issue monthly job valuations. To monitor and control cost variations by accurately pricing and recording their effect on final accounts To organise and manage orders and applications To value completed work and arrange monthly payments Reconciliation To analyse and reconcile all elements of the quotation, including: Estimated hour for design, develop and drawing Estimated hours for making Estimated hours for finishing Estimated delivery and wrapping Estimated hours for installation Estimated material cost We receive a high number of applications on a daily basis so we can only respond to successful applications.
