We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People, with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.
The successful candidate will undertake the keyworker role. This will involve creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans, keeping accurate records of support planning, and ensuring the service user is being offered opportunities, experiences, and care within their care plan. The role will also involve promoting the service users' access to opportunities in their local communities and enabling them to continue to live a meaningful life.
We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people; the care homes also support a respite, STAR unit, and day service.

The Person
1. Provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards.
2. Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.
3. You should be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
4. Must have or be able to work towards the required qualification as required by the Scottish Social Services Council. Within the timeframes set at point of registration, once qualification is achieved, it is the person's responsibility to inform the Scottish Social Services Council accordingly.
5. To ensure you achieve registration with SSSC as part of the social service and healthcare within 6 months of starting in a new role, you must apply for registration within 3 months of your start date. To maintain your registration, you must hold or work towards the SSSC benchmark qualification for the role, complete the required Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) for the role, and submit an annual declaration via MySSSC. The benchmark qualification for this role includes SVQ Level 3.
6. If you do not currently hold a benchmark qualification, your registration will be granted subject to the condition that you achieve the required qualification within the timeframe defined by SSSC.
7. Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
8. As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
