Cargo Operations Coordinator/Planner About the Role TLP are working with an international freight and logistics company with a site based in Southampton. We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Specialist Cargo Operations Coordinator/Planner to join their team. In this role, you will Assist with the planning of the loading and unloading of cargo and freight shipments (to/ from containers or truck / trailers) whilst maintaining customer relationships, ensuring requirements and service levels are met from customer enquiries through to job completion. Communicate customer requirements and jobs to the Cargo Handling / Specialist Haulage team. Key Responsibilities: Raise accurate quotes for loading and unloading of cargo and road transport to customers in a timely fashion to ensure profitability of the department. Ensure all containers and cargo movements are correctly arranged and booked into and out of both internal and external systems ensuring costs are kept to a minimum. Co-ordinate the activities of Cargo Handlers team in respect of loading and unloading cargo. Be a point of contact for any cargo related / specialist haulage enquiries. Maintain and update any work in PDS / TOPS or other systems as required. Skills & Experience: Previous experience in shipping, port operations, haulage, and/or container handling. Knowledge of TOPS/Port Container Systems (advantageous). Knowledge of road haulage Previous experience in organising out of gage movements.
