Our client has a highly respected, RCVS accredited practice that has been providing outstanding, compassionate care to local pets across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire since 1903.
You will be joining the clinic at an exciting time, as a forward-thinking practice they continually strive to update and improve the services they provide. Are you ready to be a part of this, bringing your own experience and ideas to the table?
The main practice is in the small market town just south west of Swindon, on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, and there’s an additional branch in a quaint neighbouring town only 5 miles away. Their longstanding, highly qualified team have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities such as a digital x-ray machine, ultrasound machine, compressed air powered dental tools, an in-house laboratory and more, allowing them to deliver the best service to their clients and their pets, many of whom are longstanding clients (and friends) of the practice. They are truly proud to have been awarded a 3* world class accreditation by Best Companies, the highest standard for workplace engagement. They encourage case discussion between all of the team and case continuity. The practice runs with its dedicated, skilled team of three FTE Vets, a Practice Manager/RVN, three experienced RVNs and two SVNs. They know that great team members make for a great practice and offer a nurturing environment where the team can pursue their clinical interests and develop their knowledge.
This is a full-time or part-time role as the client is very open to discussion about working hours and patterns dependent on your preferences and commitments. There are no OOH’s as they use a local referral centre to provide cover. The practice closes every day for a lunchbreak to ensure that everyone gets time to sit down and eat without being disturbed. CPD actively is encouraged. They welcome applicants who want to build on their surgery and/or medicine skills and would fully support training in this. Salary up to £68,000 (pro-rata) dependent on experience.
The practice is situated by the river Thames and the river Coln and are surrounded by beautiful countryside with plenty of walking routes, independent shops, cafes, and pubs. The Cotswold Water Park is on the doorstep, with plenty of opportunity to get involved with a variety of water sports. The clinic has great transport links to Oxford, Swindon, Cirencester, Bath, Bristol, and London.
