Job Description
Live Life Aberdeenshire is looking for someone with excellent customer service skills to join our libraries and cultural team.
As part of the libraries team, you will assist in the provision of library services to the school community. You will need excellent communication skills, good digital skills, and the ability to work with all age groups. The postholder will participate in a range of duties such as helping pupils and teachers with library enquiries, supporting literacy, organising school library events, and promoting the use of the school library. A flexible approach and enthusiasm for libraries and culture are essential.
The post holder must demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required if the individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years. A confirmed offer of employment will be subject to the outcome of these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be from your current or most recent employer.
The post is 33 hours per week, term time only until June 2025. You will be required to work Monday to Friday during term time. Starting time is 8:30 am every day, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday until 4 pm, and Thursday and Friday until 3 pm.
