We are looking to appoint a motivated person to work within the busy vaccination service booking centre at Ty Gwent in Cwmbran.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide a service to the Vaccination Programme within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. An up-to-date knowledge of vaccination sites will be required to enable the post-holder to make, amend, and cancel appointments and handle straightforward queries. The post-holder will need a working knowledge of all clinic protocols in addition to any specific standards for each clinic/specialty. The role will range from the registration of new patients, making calls to patients, answering telephone calls, booking appointments using the Welsh Immunisation System (WIS), and using direct and auto-generated booked appointments.

1. Patients' calls are answered in line with the Booking Centre’s standard operating procedures (i.e., time to answer a call, information shared, and patient-focused service).
2. Patients are treated courteously, with empathy and respect.
3. Vaccination appointments are booked within internal and national targets.
Supporting the Vaccination Booking Centre Manager, the post-holder will assist in working towards key objectives, which have been identified as:
* Ensuring all patients' appointments are processed in accordance with the internal and national targets.
* Ensuring patients are assigned to the right clinic first time.
* Ensuring an efficient telephone service is maintained.
